This kit is not for a beginner!
One of the finest flying aircrafts of WW1, the Sopwith Pup earned the affection of all the pilots who flew her. Our 1/3 scale model is a faithful reproduction of this early aircraft. Our model is exact scale in every detail. Rib spacing, tail size, shape, and everything about the model is as accurate as can be made. Nothing has been added or taken away. Even though the model is exact scale, it is easily taken apart for transportation. Only about 10 minutes are required for field assembly and less for take down. To help speed up the construction, there are 20 different die-cut sheets, several jig-cut and shaped parts. Much of the complicated work has already been done for you. The kit features include Premium Quality AAA Balsa, Birch Aircraft Grade Plywood and Premium Model Grade Lite-Ply. A great kit of even greater airplane. Add the optional "Scale 9" Spoked Wheel Kit" to complete the illusion.
F.A.Q.
What is the CG and control throws? The CG should be 8" back from the LE of the top wing. I recommend setting it a little nose heavy for the first few flights. Throws: Elevator 1/2" Up & Down (I recommend 1" Up & Down) Ailerons 3/4" Up & Down (I recommend 1" or more UP & Down) Rudder All you can get!
